Why a month equals 30.44
This is the average number of days in a month over a four-year cycle, which accounts for three regular years and one leap year. This standard helps avoid discrepancies in long-term calculations.
365.25 / 12 = 30.4375 (30.44 in the app)

How the formula works
The app first calculates the whole number of months, then computes the remaining days. The full months multiplied by the 'Days in a month' value are subtracted from the total number of days.
120 - (3 × 30.44) = 28.68
The remainder is rounded to a whole number based on the selected precision. The default is 'Full days only'.
The calculation is not tied to specific calendar dates. You set how many days make up a month.
