Why a month equals 30.44
This is the average number of days in a month over a four-year cycle, which accounts for three regular years and one leap year. This standard helps avoid discrepancies in long-term calculations.
365.25 / 12 = 30.4375 (30.44 in the app)
If the average value doesn't suit your needs, select any other option (for stricter accuracy, you can specify 30.4375).
How the formula works
The app first calculates the whole number of months, then computes the remaining days. The total number of days is reduced by the full months multiplied by the "Days in a month" value.
120 - (3 * 30.44) = 28.68
The remainder is rounded to a whole number based on the selected precision. The default is "Full days only".
The calculation isn't tied to specific calendar dates. You set how many days make up a month.

Select the last day precision. This setting affects how the app calculates remaining days that don't make up a full month.
